A 42-year-old prophet, Olusola Akindele, was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly using his lover, identified as Iya Anu, for rituals.

A 42-year-old prophet, Olusola Akindele, was arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly using his lover, identified as Iya Anu, for rituals.

Akindele’s alleged accomplice, Pastor Ayodele Bamiduro, was also arrested by the police.

Iya Anu, whom he had been dating for the past 2 years, did not know that the sweetness she was about to enjoy will kill her, as the prophet allegedly smashed her head with a pestle after they had sex.

He was said to have cut off her head, hands, and removed her intestines which he took to the pastor, Bamiduro, the founder of Lion of Judah Church of Christ on Robiyan Street, Abule Ijoko.

The two suspects were later driven to the church, where the head, hands and intestines were buried on the premises.

Akindele, who is also a bricklayer, allegedly dumped the decapitated body of the deceased in an uncompleted building next to a bungalow where he lived.

The suspects were arrested by the Police after the Baale of Igbore, Femi Kujore, reported the discovery of a decomposing headless body in an uncompleted building in the community to the police at the Agbado Police Division.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, described the act as conspiracy, murder and ritualism.

Iliyasu said the suspects who have confessed to the crimes would be arraigned in a court after the completion of investigation.
