Barely hours after President Uhuru Kenyatta called off rescue operations at the DusitD2 hotel, hundreds of Kenyans gathered at Chiromo Funeral Parlour to identify bodies of their loved ones.

People from all walks of live who showed up at the morgue expressed their sorrow over the heinous act that claimed lives of 14 innocent Kenyans.

Some fainted at the morgue forcing the mortuary specialists to abandon their duties and offer First Aid services to them.

Among those who were at the mortuary was Opposition leader Raila Odinga who was accompanied by Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu and Suna East MP Junet Mohamed.

The leaders condoled with the family members of the deceased and sent them a message of encouragement.

"We want to reiterate that we cannot be cowed by heinous acts of terrorism. This act makes us Kenyans to unite and come together in supporting our government and the police in the fight against these terrorist," said Raila.
"The attack by terrorists will not scare us as Kenyans. For those who have lost their loved ones, we stand with you and wish you well, we pray God to give you fortitude and strength to bear the pain of losing your loved ones," said Ngilu.
